To our amazingly talented 2020 fashion design students: As you embarked on this journey, you accepted the challenge to reinvent fashion amidst seismic shifts already under way in our industry. Still, no-one could have envisioned this! You've embraced change, new technology, innovation and redefined "design thinking". Your collections represent outstanding examples of responsible design, circular design, inclusive design, adaptable design, engineered knit design, textile design, 3-D virtual design and vision. Congratulations on showing the world you have what it takes to shape the future of fashion! Lisa Hayes, Fashion Design Program Director
The production of the annual Drexel fashion presentation, publication of the lifestyle D&M Magazine, participation in the annual Fashion Scholarship Fund and travel to the National Retail Federation Student Program are but a few of the opportunities that we offer our D&M students so that they graduate with the knowledge and skills needed for success in the global marketplace and as practical and responsible corporate citizens who will make the world a more compelling, beautiful place in which to live and thrive. Thank you to Ann Gerondelis, Roberta Gruber, Rachel Mednick, Luka Kimlicko, Vivianna Bermudez, Josh Gdovin and Justin Mignone for their invaluable collaboration in executing this virtual presentation as well as the judges, Gail Onorato, Missy Dietz, Carole Hochman, Stephanie Schaich Bricken, Mary Dougherty and John Wind. Lastly, thank you to the D&M student team, Emily Dowling, Margaret Ilicheva and Devon Latino, that led the dynamic marketing, promotion and social media for Drexel Fashion Design 2020. Alphonso McClendon, Design & Merchandising Program Director
